Cleaning Up

Yesterday we took down the drop ceiling so that we can see where the roof is actually leaking. And we have been working on cleaning up the mold. Now that we have it all apart it is actually looking like we might have our sun room back in a couple of weeks.

Working on the Sun Room

While it rained cats & dogs Erik & John worked frantically to clean up the 2 inches of water on the floor and get the roof shored up. As you can see they ended up using bookcases to hold up the rood where it had been dipping down before.

It's Raining In My House

This was filmed after Erik & John had done a lot of work to get the roof back to where it was supposed to be, but it was still raining in the house. And I really did think when it first started leaking that the roof was coming down.

It's Raining Cats & Dogs

I took the camera into the sun room to record just how hard it was raining. Just a moment after I turned off the camera it started raining in the sun room.

Dean loves the vacuum cleaner and will push it around and climb all over it if you let him.

Dean really doesn't like it when he isn't allowed into the sun room and likes to pound on the door and yell. Erik is just lending his support.

Erik likes to use the cushions from our sofa to keep Dean in a small area of the living room. Unfortunately, Dean has already outsmarted him by figuring out how to climb out.

Jack announced that he "was on the good list" when he saw all of the presents Christmas morning.

We went out into the backyard on the afternoon of Christmas eve so Erik & Jack could play football. Jack needed to burn off some energy, he was too excited for Santa to come.
